this should fix all issues related to game play. Please note that this procedure is current for middle of may 2012. going forward these drivers must be downloaded from their manufacturers being intel and nvidia

Hi I bought a MSi GT70 0NC-008US from you guys a couple of weeks ago and everything has been working fine until this morning when I booted it to find that the mouse pad no longer works.

Since then the keyboard has also developed problems. From startup it only works in bios but not in the OS whereas if I wake the computer from sleep then it becomes operational.

The only thing that has changed in terms of software is a windows 7 update which downloaded and ran on shutdown last night. I have tried to fix this by a factory reset but to no effect.

Help would be appreciated :D
Cheers

Good day to you BTO,

I have a few questions regarding ebay item no. 320899068203

"MSI GT60 0NC-004US Gaming Laptop Notebook Nvidia GTX 670M Intel Ivy Bridge NEW"

My Ebay ID : KukuSam (Samuel)

Questions as follows

1. I'm planning to purchase the item above, may i request a custom/separate invoice (both in Singapore Dollars)

Invoices as follows

invoice A - SGD 1,000 quotation to "NEWSOURCE PTE LTD" without the inverted commas.

invoice B - The remaining fees just quote as per normal.

2. I'd like to enquire how long does it take to ship over via USPS Express Mail International package.

3. Warranty coverage for the above product stated 2yrs USA , 1 yr global. The thing is, is there a Singapore MSI service centre that services such warranty offered?

4. Is it possible to have a 2yr singapore , 1 yr global warranty plan? Or 3 yrs global? Anyway is fine. The reason being it would be a hassle to send the product back and pay additional shipping costs just to get it fix. So if there are such warranty it would meant a lot for a consumer like me.

For your kind assistance and advice please.

Regards,
Samuel

I have a MSI MS-1656-ID1 Notebook bought in 2010. It has a i7 CPU with 4GB of RAM & Nvidia GeForce GTS 250M graphics card running Windows 7 64-bit. I am trying to capture video using Firewire connection but no video is showing up.

My HD camcorder is a Sony HVR-A1U. Software I have tried are Corel Video Studio X3 and X5, Windows Movie Maker & Nero Video 11.

When I connect the camcorder I do not see any video on the software screen. However, I can control play, forward and rewind but the video shows up in the camcorder screen, not my notebook. If I press the Capture button, it shows video capturing, again with no video, and when I stop it, it says no video was captured.

The last time I tried was in early 2011 when it didn't work either. At that time I thought there was a problem with the software and I waited for them to come out with a 64-bit version (X5). Unfortunately it's still not working.

The camcorder works fine in a desktop running XP, so there is nothing wrong with the camcorder. Since I have tried different software on this notebook and none of them worked, I have to think there is something wrong with the notebook.

Do you have a solution?

Hi, I have been having trouble with my G73JW for many months now, owned it a bit over a year.

The computer will often overheat (lights out, not restarting, just dead) during the summer even idle, and at room temperature of 25 degrees Celsius after a few minutes of playing a game such as Tribes: Ascend on medium settings the computer will shut off. I can usually turn it on straight away, but sometimes I will have to wait 5-10 minutes.

I have no idea what is wrong with my computer, or how to fix it. I suspect dust but I'm not sure.

My house is very dusty, and the fans are very loud.
My GPU is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M.
We took the best of the award-winning G74 and G54 Series gaming stations, added some important innovations like cleanable fan filters, and combined them with the latest performance technologies from Intel and NVIDIA. The result is bleeding edge performance package that can only be called “ultimate fighting machine.”

Extreme Performance
The G75VW and G55VW are bristling with the latest performance components to deliver visually, aurally, and emotionally-impactful gaming. Powered by a 2nd Generation Intel Core i7-3610QM quad-core (2.2GHz) “Ivy Bridge” processor with Intel Turbo Boost Technology for instant processor speed adjustment so you can experience ultra-smooth multitasking performance. Ivy Bridge processors benefit from another die shrink - to 22nm - for better performance with lower energy usage and heat production. Intel claims Tri-gate transistor technology uses less than 50% power consumption at the same performance level as 2-D planar transistors).*

In addition to the upgraded processor, the new notebooks incorporate an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M 3GB graphics engine or 660M 2GB graphics engine for enjoyment of the latest high frame rates. With unmatched DirectX 11 support, users experience a totally new class of virtual interaction for more dynamic gaming. Also included is a full 16GB of DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM. The result is a sleek performance machine that can achieve a 3DMark Vantage score of P12,533**.

Audacious Audio and Visuals
Featuring a 17.3 inch or 15.6 inch LED-backlit full HD display, the G Series lets users enjoy HD playback for an immersive experience with sharp images, smooth video transitions, and brilliant clarity. Paired with THX + EAX 5.0 3D gaming audio technology, the G75VM immerses users in believable sensory input, bringing new levels of gaming enjoyment.

Unique Design – Inside and Out
Inspired by the sharp polygonal shapes from the US Navy’s Sea Shadow stealth ship, new G75 Series offers a 5° incline keyboard designed to provide a more ergonomic and natural position for the wrists. They keyboard is also backlit, so users can easily navigate in light or dark conditions. The innovations continue on the inside. For thermal management, a unique venting design pulls air from underneath the notebook, cooling the system down, and then vents it through the back of the machine, keeping hot air away from the user and reducing ambient noise for prolonged gaming.

New for the G Series is that the heat fans feature cleanable dust filters to keep internal components operating coolly and efficiently long into the future.

ASUS gaming machines are always popular among the public, making them high volume/ high margin models that resellers also love.

G75VW

G55VW

Display

17.3” FHD (1920x1080); 3D 120Hz version available

15.6” FHD (1920x1080)

CPU

Intel® Core™ i7 3610-QM processor with Overclocking

Intel® Core™ i7 3610-QM processor with Overclocking

Graphics

NVIDIA GeForce GTX670M 3GB GDDR5

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M with 2GB GDDR5

RAM

12GB or 16GB 1600MHz DDR3

12GB 1600MHz DDR3

HDD

1.5TB 7200RPM HDD or 750GB 7200RPM HDD +256GB SSD

1.5TB 7200RPM HDD or 750GB 7200RPM HDD

ODD

Blu-ray enabled DVDRW/ CDRW

CDRW or DL DVDRW/CDRW

Dimensions

16.3” x 12.6” x .9” to 2.0”

14.8” x 11.8” x .9” to 2.0”

I/O

USB 3.0 x 4 / HDMI / mDP / HD webcam

USB 3.0 x 4 / HDMI / mDP / HD webcam

Color

Black

Black

MSRP (US, CAD)

$1,799 or $2,099

$1,349
